Creating a landing page effectively will help you convert your visitors into leads and using a landing page is one of the best ways to turn your web traffic into subscribers, and from there to take advantage of all those people who visit your site website or blog.
I always say that I have many followers in our different social profiles is fine, but those followers, regardless of the network they are, we must convert them into subscribers. Keep in mind that all those people who still did not have any information and there is no way to contact them directly. On the other hand, grow our subscriber database is synonymous with work on one of the main assets that have a website.
The same applies to web traffic; incoming and outgoing visits to our website, probably some of them not coming back and that somehow we want to capture them back.
It is here that plays an important role a landing page, because with it, we can convert a higher percentage of traffic received from subscribers.
HOW DOES A LANDING PAGE?
Its operation is very simple: drive traffic to that landing page where the user has little choice, or add the data to access a number of benefits that we offer or close the page. No more, but the fact that the user has few options and little choice that makes the effectiveness of the landing page is really high.
What effective points have a Landing Page?
There are a number of points to keep in mind if we get good results with a landing page:
What are the benefits if the user enters their data into our landing page? Whether a document to download, access to exclusive content, additional information that only we share with our subscribers … whatever has to be made clear so that it serves as an incentive for the user to us their data.
2. AN ATTRACTIVE IMAGE
What you are offering your visitors who will return for their subscription? A picture is worth a thousand words, and a clear picture of what you’re offering makes the user to have a tangible perception of what they will receive. It is a way of making something intangible into something material and tangible that the user will receive in return.
3. FORM THE “ABOVE THE FOLD”
“Above the fold” it is the expression used to define that part of the screen we see nothing but a web access without the need to move the cursor down (scroll down). And statistics say that the forms or opt-ins that are located in this area are far more effective than those found in other areas of our website.
4. A FEW FIELDS IN THE FORM
A typical error in the landing pages is to ask a lot of data to potential subscribers. When a user is faced with a form that asks a lot of data not normally enter through laziness or lack of time. So the less data we ask much better. And we shall complete our database with the other information that we need another time. My personal recommendation is to include no more than 4 or 5 courses.
5. INCLUDE BULLET POINTS
The bullet points are just bulleted text (points before each phrase) that collect quickly the benefits of your landing page. In this way the user can read a glance points to the benefits of register in your squeeze page.
6. USE A CALL TO ACTION (CTA)
The buttons include a call to action like “Put me”, “Register” or “Give me high” have a higher success than the typical button marked “Send” percentage. If you’re offering a product download you could use call to action “Download now” or if you’re doing a lot the CTA could be “Enter Now”. These are incentives that action by the user.
7. MAKE USE OF REVIEWS
The reviews are recommendations from others who have already enjoyed what you’re offering. This is typical in the pages of sales of products or services. The reviews can be very convincing and motivate the user to take action. If you can, and those people who make your review will permit, it is advisable to introduce good quality photos with their faces. Remember that a review with an image of poor quality can lead to the opposite effect that we are pursuing.
8. ELIMINATE DISTRACTIONS
As I explained at the beginning of this article, the role of a landing page is to capture user information, and for that reason it is advisable to eliminate distractions and remove all links that can be on that page. Not interested introduce links because they become traffic leaks. Thus the user have 2 options: leave or enter their data.
HOW TO CREATE A LANDING PAGE WITHOUT BEING A DESIGNER?
Luckily generating landing pages is available to everyone and not have to be a graphic designer to create a landing page. In the market there are many tools that allow us to create landing pages without any knowledge of graphic design. In addition, these tools are mostly “Drag and drop”; this means that with a single click can move the items on pages and drag them to the area of the page where you want to place them.
Some of the tools I always recommend:
Some of the tools discussed have a free limited version, but usually are extra, although we are talking about a completely reasonable cost for anyone who allow you to create fully professional landing pages and, best of all, without any effort.
